I am taking Atenolol. Can someone tell me how it compares to Metropolol? Is one more expensive or effective than the other? Does one have more side effects than the other?

Hi-I take Metoprolol for heart palpitations and they said it is supposed to help my blood pressure, also. I have never taken Atenolol, but just wanted to let you know that I only have to pay $4.00 for a 30-day supply of Metoprolol at the Wal-mart pharmacy.
