Hello, I'm new and scared!

I was sent to rapid access heart clinic by my GP after thinking I had indigestion that wouldn't go away.
The story so far: I have had a stress test, an Echocardiogram and a 24 hour Holter monitor.

According to the letter sent from my Cardio consultant to my GP there are a few things wrong, but I haven't a clue as to what as it's full of jargon :( sounds scary though and is causing me a great deal of grief .... but nowhere near as much grief as the thought of having an Angiogram which is now booked for June 4th.
Is there nothing else they can do instead? Also, if it's noon conclusive on 'atrial septum defect' I will need a TOE test? What is this??

So, to surmise, I am terrified, having chest pains and a thumping heart and not sure if this is down to angina or panic!

Sorry it's a bit long .... looking forward to getting to know you all xx

" All those tests are a routine work-up to see if you might have a cadiac problem. The angiogram is another method to check to see if you may have any blockages. That's a good test and shows alot to the Dr.. I have had all of those tests and they came out fine. I did have a minor heart attack four years ago, and my heart beats too fast and I have angina. I take metoprolol daily and carry nitro with me just incase I get chest pains. I have been doing very well. Please stay in Good health and walk alot for your heart. "
