Hello there,
I started getting chest problems on 27/12/07. Chest pain and then upper left arm pain whilst out on a gentle walk with the dogs. This then occured regularly when out walking, sometimes when only walking 10-20 meters. Then sometimes not at all. I had a treadmill test at the local hospital and despite being tested right up to the limit for 15 minutes (I was wasted afterwards) I got no pains at all. Since then, however, I have been getting pains. And always when out walking. But then sometimes I don't. Oddly after particularly bad episodes I'm left (the next day) with arm pain, and pain down the sides of my chest that feels like I've had a big session in the gym the day before. Now the pain starts at the upper part of my back, spreads to my upper left arm and then to my chest. I'm also feeling rather still and sore around the left shoulder, and the back general that feels like I've strained something. Does this sound like Angina? I wouldn't say I'm aerobically fit but I am strong. I'm about 250 pounds and 6' 1" tall. Additionally I suffer from some anxiety related disorders. You help would be appreciated. hmmm it sounds like pinched or slipped disk but you have some symptoms of heart problems but they are not completely heart condition focused 15 minutes on a treadmill is just crazy if you have a heart condition it will cause a heart attack I always thought those tests were stupid and they don't say much , an echocardiogram would tell your condition... be a squeeky wheel and get results squeeky wheel gets greased and in todays medicine nothing happens unless you push hard and ignore doctor antics ... doctors who turn the blame toward the patient are probably lazy , don't know, don't care , too arrogant to properly test ,victims of what testing they are allowed to do dictated to by insurance or health program, or graduated at the bottom of the class . I'm telling you this only because stress test does not suffice neither does ECG or Xrays .only things like echocariograms or MRIs can tell the whole truth .
There are many symptoms to heart conditions I am not a doctor but I'd say go back and tell the doctor the same thing as you did here . I had a heart attack so I know the feeling and symptoms and its just too hard to tell because so many things are missing in your description but there are a few which tell me to tell you to not take a chance remember this is your health not the doctors and if you still have symptoms then the doctor is wrong not you.I reread your symptoms just to be sure and unfortunately I don't see anything which would suggest heart or angina but get it checked out just to be sure .I hope this helps but for myself pain down my arms were both arms and very painful also down my sides from the armpits chest pain was radiant rather than in the middle where the heart is throat was tightening especially at the trachia teeth and jaw were very painful and the number one symptom and probably in almost all cases is so much pressure on the abdomen the stomach feels like its going to pop/explode so hard peices are going to bounce off the clouds in the sky .Good luck and even though I don't think its angina you should get the disk thing , nerve , or muscle thing looked at first then go back to Heart condition it really is a trial and error thing ...one test doesn't say what the problem is if its persisting .There is no shame in making a doctor look stupid because the end result is you get to keep your health and the doctor gets to keep his job and everyone is happy don't let flawed pyhisician knowledge beat you down. Watch for Dr rudeness and prescription handouts for depression they're telling you they are stupid and don't know . I'm guessing you are here because your Dr visit didn't solve anything ...Please don't think thats your fault go back .

Alot of Doctors will tell you that their are no symptoms to high cholesterol. I don't believe that. I would tell you to get your cholesterol and triglicerides tested. See if they are high. Lower them and get on a low cholesterol diet and see if the pain still is present when you go walking. Alot of times, you have to be proactive and be aware of the suttle changes and be aware of how your body responds. Best wishes
