" hmmm I'm not sure I gotthe right definition but it seems alot like an echocardiogam which uses ultrasound to veiw a variety of aspects about the heart to measure blood flow and damage after surgery for MI It mustnot be te same thing because there is no need to have someone with for an Echo because you basicly lay on your back slightly to the side and for between 45 min and 1 hour a sonnographer runs the scan over chest with a small device the size of your computer mouse and thats it you pack up and go home . Good luck finding the info you need . "

" Thanks Banff. The thallium profusion scan is different from an echo-I had one of them last week. This one is where a radioactive substance is injected to see how it goes through the heart. "
