Non-Contrast MRI capable of finding an Aneurysm?

Hi,
First a little background. I've had worsening visual symptoms in only one eye for years now. I had a CT scan without contrast about 7 years ago but nothing was found. Neuro-Opthamologist couldn't even find papilaedema or increased eye pressure. Basically I see frequent flashes of light, streaks in vision, increased floaters/dark floater-like spots, eye muscle twitches, changes in intensity of light (like someone is turning a dimmer on), blurriness, trouble focusing, and a feeling of pressure behind the eye. I can even see my heartbeat in my vision if I stare off into space for a few seconds. This is all mostly in my left eye. I have also developed what seems like pulsatile tinnitus where one or both ears will start thumping for no reason, a frequent headache in the same place in the top right side of my head, sometimes radiates above my eyes. Headaches are not severe though. This is the opposite side I'm having the visual symptoms on. I have also had other symptoms all over the top/back of my head ranging from a feeling of chill like someone is pouring water down my head, to brief, short radiating hot/burning pains. Also, sometimes have unexplained muscle tenses/stiffness in extremeties, and trouble remembering things/concentrating/focusing. Also general weakness that only developed over the last few months. My blood Pressure is anywhere from normal to borderline (138/87 or so) when stressed.

I have convinced myself for years now that, because of the lack of contrast in the CT, a brain tumor/aneurysm was missed. I have an appointment with a neuro-optho on Tuesday, and will demand an MRI if he can't find anything. I don't want any more radiation and I'm curious if a non-contrast MRI would find an aneurysm, or would I need an MRI? Too bad I have no insurance as this could get expensive.

I know it sounds like I'm obsessing here, but the visual symptoms are very bad/causing anxiety/nausea lately, and I'm having a hard time calming down. I haven't even been able to look anyone in the eyes for years, because after a second or two, my vision seems to go crazy/sort of crosseyed or half-focused. Otherwise I seem to have 20/20 vision as far as reading, etc....

Thanks,
-David-
