I picked this post up from another group I am a member of.....If it is true then our president who in my opinion stinks! Should be impeached! As an addendum to this topic he is ALREADY stating that they may not have enough money to handle all the cash for clunkers people that have lined up and are taking advantage .... Leaving many ppl owing car corporations money or having to return their card back for the ones they traded in!
Page 425 of Health Care Bill - Listen to this interview Fred Thompson's Radio Show interviewing Betsy McCaughey (pronounced Mc Coy). On page 425 it says in black and white that EVERYONE on Social Security, (will include all Senior Citizens and SSI people) will go to MANDATORY counseling every 5 years to learn and to choose from ways to end your suffering (and your life). Health care will be denied based on age. 500 Billion will be cut from Seniors healthcare. The only way for that to happen is to drastically cut health care, the oldest and the sickest will be cut first. Paying for your own care will not be an option. Now, CALL YOUR PEOPLE IN WASHINGTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tell them to read page 425 if they don't read anything else. Surely some of them have parents. http://fredthompsonshow.com/pg/jsp... Calm down and check your facts.
Page 425 does deal with counseling sessions for seniors, but it is far from recommending a "Logan’s Run" approach to Medicare spending. In fact, it requires Medicare to cover counseling sessions for seniors who want to consider their end-of-life choices – including whether they want to refuse or, conversely, require certain types of care. None of this is the government's business at all. Whatever the specific wording, mandatory counseling is the "camel's nose in the tent" and can only be the first step that leads to very bad things. Otherwise why put it there? We, on this board, have aneurysms and are all the potential subjects of this kind of interference sometime in the future. No thanks!
One other thing that bothers me is innovation. Where is it going to come from in a world where the "evil" profits are squeezed out and bureaucrats run the world. Who will invest time and money and take the risk to bring new drugs and devices to market? Would coiling have come to fruition under Obamacare. I think not!
