Update - almost 3 months post surgery

Hi...just wanted to check in, say hi and give a quickie update.

I'm almost 3 months post clipping - doing really good, I think, back to work, not as tired as much, but the emotions are hard. The reality of how lucky I am and close I came to not making it - wow, that is powerful stuff.

I am glad I have this place to help cool my fears and get to know others who are going through similar events.

In July I go back for my follow up with a CT scan and the inky thing (angiogram I think) and see how things look. I am kind of looking forward to it, but am scared...but I know I am in good hands at my local hospital.

Thanks everyone for all the support and for including me in your experiences and updates.

SM

" Did yours rupture? I had a clipping done last month, but the dr hasn't said anything about any follow-up. Mine had not ruptured, maybe that is the difference. "

" Yes, we did not know about it and it was a sudden rupture. I would imagine they would still do a follow up on yours- maybe call their office and ask. I know they didn't schedule the follow up until just a week or so ago, but they mentioned I would have one at three months (three months after being released I guess). "

" Debbie — my Neuro said a follow-up angio wasn't necessary and even if we did one, the clip would get in the way of the results (you couldn't see it b/c the clip would cover it, or somehow skew the images or something?) "

" Interesting. I was thinking the angio was to find others that might be lurking, but I think you might be right about hiding the clipping. "
