Surgery Delayed

My clip surgery was scheduled for May 4th and the doctor's office called yesterday to postpone it until May 11th. He has to be out of town now. I had wanted to do it in April, but they didn't have any openings. I am on a cancellation list. I have a very busy summer planned, and assuming I am going to need the full month to recover, it really messes with my life. I am tempted to wait until the end of August to do it now, or maybe even calling Mayo Clinic to see if I can have it done there sooner. Does a week more or less make much difference in the recovery process?

" Debbie,
That depends on what you are planning to do with your summer. Easy slow activity is the way to go. I had a rupture so mine was more like a year recovery, but hearing from people that have had surgery with no complications, they do pretty well in their recovery.

" I am having the surgery at the Mayo Clinic on April 28th - it gives me two extra weeks of recovery time before the summer hits. "
