" You might find yourself with headaches. If you have any problems with sight tell your doc while you're in hospital. You may or may not have some memory gaps. They may not be permanent. I have gotten some of mine back thanks to my family and pictures. Everyone is so very different that it is hard to say anything is a certainty for you... I think that may be why you don't have a lot of answers here yet. Babyruthie and weinere46 are great at answers and to be friends with. They are wonderful and sympathetic. They helped me through the first months home and have remained good friends since. Best of luck to you. PM if you would like. "

" I have had headaches. I remember after the surgery opening my eyes several times. I had my family there. I would open my eyes see a few family members close them, open again and see different ones there before me. My husband said I was a real witch after surgery for the first two weeks. I think that might be because I was unable to be myself. I am still in my eyes unable to be myself. I shaved my head due to the fact that they shaved some of my hair off. I am still working on my growing my hair back. I have it back but it is time for review of the remaining ones. Everyone is different. You will be in a coma like state. I wish you the best of luck. Everything will be fine. "

" Hi Julie. It sounds like you are catching the "Annie" before it blows. If that is the case then you are very lucky. I didn't catch my in time and I had a bit of a hard time of it. On April 3, 2002 I suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm. On June 14 2002 I discovered that I was in a rehab hospital. From April til June there was nothing. No up, down, in, out, absolutely nothing. So I say again, consider yourself very lucky to get this fixed now.

Side effects? You will probably have some headaches and possibly a bit sensitive to bright lights. I do understand the scared bit; but take heart. They have come a long ways when it comes to taking care of an aneurysm before it becomes a real problem.

My best to you and there's a prayer on its way.

RT... "
