I know that they say that there small and they found them before they ruptured, but im even afraid to sneeze at this point. lol I go in today and get the 4 vesssel angeogram done, even that sounds scary in itself. I thought I was a strong person but now I feel like I was 6 again and saying I DONT WanT TO DO THIS... I have not told my 10 year old yet she is the baby and i do not want her to worry, but also feel i should incase anything happens so im confused as well..ahhhh i just dont know

hello, Julie - like Ruthie said - we are here for you ; please hang in there; I would advise you to tell your 10-yr old, she's old enough to understand. when my brain aneurysm ruptured - my son, who's now 10, was only 5 and he was devastated and confused, so, if i were you, i'd tell my kids, just to give them an idea and prepare them for what's to come. Good luck, and hang in there!Be glad you found out before it ruptured; that's one good thingabout this. Love always,
Annie:)Mine ruptured and my son ha to see the EMTguys take me by gurney - I'm certain he got freaked out!

I told my boys about the surgery and what could happen to prepare them for what might happen. At the time of my surgery, they were 6 and 10 years old. As soon as I was out of CCU they came to visit and see that mom was still ok. I was denied the option of being with my grandfather before a surgery that ultimately caused his death. I never got to give him that hug. At 44 years old it still makes me incredibly sad that I wasn't allowed to be there. I think that even if there are complications it is better for you children to see you as soon as possible. Everyone will be nervous before your surgery, there is no getting around it. My kids just wanted to touch me. They both climbed into bed with me...very carefully. That was the best medicine for all of us!
Take care! Tina

Hi Julie,
You should really try not to worry as much. When I went to my Neurologist, and he told me my aneurysms can only do 3 things. 1. It can become larger, 2. It may rupture, and 3. It can do NOTHING. Its great that you found yours before they ruptured. I know exactly what you mean about the worrying, as I did the exact same thing when I found out about mine (I have a 2mm). Hang in there, an know that we're here to offer our support. :-)
