Advice:
Unequal Pupils

Hello everyone. I hope you dont mind me asking for advice on your forum. I am a new mom,and also have another little one on the way. I have an appt with a neuro ophthamologist next week and am quite scared. Ive suffered from right sided headaches for over 11 years. Around 6-7 yrs ago I noticed my right pupil was larger than my left, I saw a neurologist & had an mra/mri wth normal results. Years went on, the headache cycles came and went. In 2006 they came back pretty bad and I go another mri/mra, also normal. I am now 4 months pregnant and have had the headaches for around 2 months and my pupil is large again. It reacts to light but is always larger than the left. I am terrified of the possibility of an aneurysm, esp having a little one now who needs me, and one on the way. Do you think my past mri/mras could have missed something? From what I have read online everything seems to say unequal pupils + headache always equal something sinister. Thank you in advance for any thoughts. You are all in my good thought and prayers. Take care :) M.E.

" Hi, MaryErin; just want to say that those MRIs are pretty conclusive; at least , all the ones I've had have been. Good luck to you; I'll keep you in my prayers, Sweetie. It sounds like you also have your hands full, but, being pregnant as you are - you need to take care of yourself first, otherwise you may not be well enough to take care of your little ones. Please take care of yourself. Please keep praying and believing that you'll be okay, and you will be.Love,
Annie:) "
