B12

Hi all
I was recently diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis and have monthly blood tests because of medication I am on, In the last couple of months my MCV has been steadily rising and is now at 106, the doc took blood to test for B12 and folate - my tests for B12 came back at 178, which he said was low and I have elevated antibodies for intrinsic factor, he has decided to give me no treatment for now as none of my family has pernicious anaemia. However for weeks I have been feeling really dizzy with palpatations and icy numb fingers and toes, also hair is really falling out. From what I have read my B12 is low and I should have a higher level- any advice would be appreciated.
Thankyou

" wow. Yes, you need to tell your doc your symptoms. Presumably, you can supplement with B12 OTC. But your doc does need to know these sides and treat you accordingly. "

" Sounds like you need it. The doc may want to be on the "safe" side and give it time. However, with time, mine never gets any better and it is harder and harder to get things back where they should be. Get the doc to take yo seriously or get another doc. Sublingual B-12 w/ folate does help start things getting back to normal. "
