I am not sure what type I have I was just told 2 mos ago that I am really Anemic. MY Dr advised me to take Feosol 3x daily. Just had a follow up on it 8/28/09 and it has not changed. He wants me to stick to it for another 10 week and do more blood work and go from there. I'm very tired, cold all the time. Is there anything else I can do to boost up my Iron?

Dr. Jeremy, 3 years ago I saw a naturopath and when he looked at my blood work, he thought I had Thalasemia trait. Last year I moved to Florida and when I first got here my blood work at a health screening all seemed fine and I was able to give blood. Then in January my rbc was too low to give blood and every time since then it has been between 9.5 and 11. After my recent physical I was told I have low hemoglobin, low hematocirt and low wbc and to wait a month and test again. Should I find another doctor? And does this sound like Thalasemia trait?
Thank you
