Is anaemia covered by the Disability Discrimination Act 2005. The act states that condition has to be long term (e.g. up to or greaterthan 12 months and that it has to have had a significant effect on ones day to day functioning.
Has anyone been successful/ know of any case law in becoming classified as disabled due to anaemia? Posted on 10/05/09, 05:10 pm |

Hi, I'm in California and was approved for "intermittent disability leave of absence" at work due to the symptoms- a doctor had diagnosed me with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome but just found out it's severe iron deficiency anemia! It has definitely affected my ability to work a full time job, my thinking is not clear and I get easily exhausted.
Good luck!
