Anemia Support Group

I believe my gastric bypass surgery is the cause of my iron deficiency anemia, however, indirectly because its poor nutrition because we can't eat normally but i'll take anemia anyday over my previous weight. You can go to www.webmd.com and get a list of symptoms but i can tell you from experience since 2003 that my menstrual cycles stopped, my gums went from pink to white, my beautiful teeth went from white to grayish then yellow and i currently have 20 cavities, my brain function is poor...memory etc. The body has a built in mechanism that when you lose blood it is directed to the area that keeps you alive - your main organs - especially the heart and everything else suffers. also, my hair got strange...changed color variation and texture, my skin looked like an 80 yr old. Thats all i can think of for now.
