Hi Everyone..I'm hoping I can get some much needed advice please.
Basically I've been getting dizzy spells for 4 years now and feeling generally tired with the occational tummy trouble, nothing major. When I get a dizzy spell it makes my hands tingle..it muct last 1 second and that's it. I have candida overgrowth and am struggling to get treatment for this because I can't get into the doctors as I'm agoraphobic...anyway the candida is taking over my intestines and I can't absorb my nutrients from food. I suspect I have Vitb12 deficiency as I've been taking 200mg of ferrous sulphate per day for 4 years and I'm still getting the dizzy spells. Also recently I've developed vitiligo on my hands, arms and feet, making me soo soo depressed. I know vitb2 deficiency & vitiligo are linked. Does anyone recognise my symptoms and does it sound like VITB12 deficiency?? Sorry for rambling but I need help. Thanks Posted on 06/14/09, 05:06 pm |

From a friend I can understand how difficult this may be for you to do. But try and get a double Drs appt time and have a thorough check over. If possible take someone with you to help you do it. It really may be worth it for you if you can.

Drink sweet Acidophilus milk and take acidophilus pills found in your health food store...make sure you get the refrigerated kind. Take them 3 times a day. Also take catsclaw....I got rid of my overgrowth in a matter of a few weeks...3 days after taking them I felt like a new person....any questions feel free to contact me. Hugz

I've read a lot about Candida (as I had the same problem as you) and it seems as though it lives off sugars. If you change your diet so you are eating mostly alkaline foods and cutting out sugars, that should help but like Irishdreams said, it's important to replace the bad gut bacteria with the good.
Try including more iron into your diet, such as beetroot, spinach, etc, and make sure you have adequate vitamin C, because it will help your body absorb the iron. Remember that vitamin C is water-soluble, so it's important that your body receives the recommended dose daily. Also, my dietitian explained to me that a lot of women don't agree with the ferrous sulphate tables. I now take a bio-iron supplement that is much easier on the stomach. It doesn't contain as much iron, but you take it 2-3 times a day which gives your body time to absorb enough at each meal rather than one big hit of iron. I am also agoraphobic, and I can tell you that once you re-establish your body back to a healthy function you'll begin to be able to start doing things to combat your phobia because you'll have the strength to. I suggest searching nutrients for the body online and making a list of everything your body needs. That way it is a lot easily for you to be able to help yourself. Personally I had a bad experience when I got given anti-candida medication from the doctors so that's just my opinion, but if you think it will help to see a doctor then try and take someone with you or find a doctor that makes house calls possibly? I really hope this helps. Good Luck lifesmystery, all the best
