" Your blood carries oxygen round your body and does other things too. Someone else may know if affects your blood pressure too for sure. Not enough red blood cells makes a difference to how all this works. It can also make you very tired. hair loss. and other wonderful side effects. "

Anemia is a condition in which you don't have enough healthy red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to your tissues. If you have anemia, you probably feel tired a lot.

There are many forms of anemia, each with its own cause. Anemia can be temporary or long term, and it can range from mild to severe.

See your doctor if you suspect you have anemia, because anemia can be a sign of serious illnesses. Treatments for anemia range from taking supplements to undergoing medical procedures. You may be able to prevent some types of anemia by eating a healthy, varied diet

" I forgot to add- the part where you get dizzy or light headed is because your blood doesn't have adequate oxygen for your tissues at that moment and those are some of the side effects-

If your hemoglobin drop is severe and there is shortness of breath, passing out or fainting, extreme fatigue- that could be a medical emergency so tell your family those symptoms so they can get you medical attention if you need it. It's not likely but it does happen. "
