Hello!
I am brand new to the group. I just had my 5th Venofer iron IV infusion. Was hospitalized for a week after fainting from chronic anemia (due to gastric bypass), and low B12 level. My iron levels vary between 7 and 8. I'd like to know if others have had success, and if additional treatments are needed down the road. I'm hoping it will greatly improve my fatigue. I have had 4 infusions and 2 pints of blood. I am feeling great. Mine is also because of gastric bypass. I am feeling great. I expect it to be a life long challenge but of course I am not sure. I go back to my blood doctor in 5 weeks. He did say that the iron infusions could take up to 4 weeks to feel the results (energy). I am starting to feel alot better and have actually started spring cleaning. I haven't cleaned in 2 months besides the basics. I wish I had realized what the symptoms are along time ago but I thought i was just stressed out. My goal is to make sure everyone knows the symptoms so they do not have to go thru this. God brought us to it, He will bring us thru it!! Let me know how you are doing.
