Androgenic Alopecia Support Group

Just in case there are some older gals out here that are also loosing their hair, I want to share my experience with all of you but especially for those who had like me tons of beautiful hair until I turned Seventy- So for the past two years my hair has been falling out until now it is so thin I have ordered a hair piece. I have had every test, known from scalp biopsy to blood work for every thing that could possibly cause or be related to hair loss.
Two years ago I started Bio Identical Hormone Therapy and it has been suggested that this could be the cause of the most recent fall out- However I have not been able to validate that YET. But I am interested in knowing if anyone is on Bio Identical Hormones and experienced hair loss.
Of all the things that can happen, Cancer, Illness and other maladies worse than loosing ones hair I have to say that Hair loss is very personal to each of us. For me loosing that last vestige of feminine beauty is a real blow to MY- self esteem- I know I'm more than just hair. But it does make a difference in how you view your outer- self and what other people see. AS every older person knows and the young ones will find out-- Just because I look old inside I'm as young as you, I'm active and out going- I don't stumble or fumble my words- I'm older but not elderly. I just want to look like I feel and sometime that bit of hair does make A difference.
