I just got into a new socket using Limblogic vac system. after a couple days now it seem that as the battery wears down the vacuum doesnt hold as long in turn they battery wears off faster and soon dies. I do double over the top of the under liner.

I'd say you have pin holes in the sleeve or the socket isn't sealed right and is leaking though the hole in the bottom where the pump attaches to the socket. The Alpha sleeve is a leaky piece of junk and causes lots of people headaches. to test if your problem is the sleeve or the socket/pump, just put a piece of tape (vinyl or electrical works best) over the hole in the bottom of your socket. If the pump keeps running after you tape up the hole then you have issues with your socket or the connection were the socket attaches to the pump. If the pump runs up to pressure and holds for say 5+ minutes then the problem is in your sleeve.
With no leaks in the system the pump should run up to the limit pressure and then not turn on again for 15-60+ minutes. A few of us have switch to the Otto Bock Derma Proflex (outer) sleeve over the OWW Alpha sleeve, the Otto Bock sleeve is MUCH MUCH better, bends better, seals better and lasts longer.

I agree with Tiger. I had my limb logic vac system for less than a week when it started to leak like crazy. My prosthetist said it was pinholes in the sleeve. I now have the Otto Bock Proflex sleeve and haven't had a problem since.

Hey RbkFitzy
I agree with both Drew and Tiger. The limblogic web site has a problem solving flow chart , for fixing leaks. Tiger hit the nail on the head . They have to dill a hole in the bottom of your socket for the pump to draw from. They drill a hole fill it with epoxy and then drill a smaller hole and insert a filter in the hole. The problem is the expoxy they were using shrinks, causing a leak. At least this was the problem in my case. By far the most common cause is a pin hole in your liner. Tiger gave u good instruction in how to check that out .If it seals with tape...you have your answer, if it does not. Then try taking the pump off the leg, place a flat disc across the top of the pump, and see if it seals with the gasket when the pump is running. If it does then it is not the gasket . That leaves the epoxy problem. The fix it to redrill the hole , use the new epoxy drill the small hole , insert the filter and reassemble the leg. Hope this helps , as I know the leak was driving me nuts! Stay Frosty

Hey thanks guys. It was good between the socket and pump. The sleeve I was wearing must have had pinholes, or maybe the wrong size . I taped the bottom and that slowed it down but it still ran alot . I received a sleeve that was a size larger put that one on and the pump rarely runs.

I had the Harmony® e-pulse system for a week I could't take the noise from when it went off sometime every 5 mins or sometime every 1/2 hour but it was bothersome because I work in a office and my co-worker asked me if my viberater was going off agian (lol). So if you work in a load place its works great I know its not the same systems but its almost the same just wanted to add my advice and experance. Yes I had to plug it in every 3 day to make sure the battery was fully charge.
