Hi all,
I'm new and looking for some help/advice/information.
I have been told that I have dissociative amnesia, which (if I am right) means that I don't remember parts of things that have happened. SOrt of blocking them out as if they never happened. Is that right?
Is there anyone that is in the same boat and offer some sort of advice?
Thanks

" It's your brain proecting you from things too painful to live with. I know because I have it. I am 63 years old and didn't really know what I had until diagnosed about 6 months ago. My therapist very slowly got me to recall things my asking questions that I had never considered and without thinking I would answer him then realise I was telling him something even I didn't know. I remember a lot of the things in my past now but I have to tell you I wish I didn't. "
