Is guardianship the way to go?

We have been trying for quite some time to get my MIL to move in with us. We've tried everything we could think of, nothing works. But she has been told by 3 doctors that she can't live alone. And she won't budge.
Is getting guardianship the only way to go to make her do it? We're stuck. Any advice would be appreciated. Posted on 08/24/09, 06:08 pm |

Based on what you have said, it sounds like guardianship might be the next path for you all. If you have 3 doctors saying she shouldn't live alone then these same doctors would probably support the guardianship.

I just finished going through guardianship procedings for my grand mother. It's quite a process. I have posted the whole ordeal multiple times. If you are interested, please let me know and I will repost.
I can tell you it is expensive and time consuming; however, in some cases. totally necessary.
