Hi everyone!
My name is Therese. I am 25 years old and I live with my two dogs and my fiance in Sweden, I have multiple diseases, Lupus, bipolar and Alopecia Universalis. I lost my hair at the age of 17. It was a horrible chock and it took time to accept it. It started with a small bold spot and then 2 weeks later i had lost all my hear including my lashes and eyebrows. I had cosmetic tattoos done on my eyebrows and eyeliner some years ago and it was a great decission that i truely recommend. Made me feel more normal! That was a little bit of my story. I hope to get to know some people here with alopecia :) Hugs Posted on 07/16/09, 08:07 am |

Hi. I'm another woman with alopecia universalis. My experience is probably a bit different from yours, as I am twice your age and was never very attractive. I have found that, now that I am totally bald, people don't see me as just another dumpy middle-aged woman. It's the first time I've actually stood out from the crowd. You seem to have a very positive attitude. Welcome to the group! (By the way, also have Crohn's Disease and asthma. These immune system disorders to seem to run in packs.)
