I just got through reading this book, it a memoir, a true story of this woman struggles....she went from a "crack head", gang banging, the streets, to become a lawyer....It is such an amazing story!! She is in inspiration!! If she can do it, anyone can....though she is a very special woman!!! I cried through most of the end...

Lots of us have never been so low but there are ofcourse parts that any alcoholic or drug addict can relate to THE INSANITY of the disease and the way it talks to us...

GREAT BOOK...It is a new york times best seller too....I would recommend it to anyone struggling with the disease
