My I suggest a few movies for those in recovery.

This one is just out on video and lots of fun. Hancock starring Will Smith

This one is dead serious my sponsor took me to see it along with a car full of others. Leaving Las Vegas starring Nicholas Cage

Ground Hog's Day starring Bill Murray
I hated it tprior to recovery and orking the steps now I watch it any time it's on as it reminds me I can start my life anew every day. Besides I have always had a big crush on Andie McDowell

" "Once Were Warriors" - it's a NZ film about domestic violence/alcohol, very powerful. It affected a lot of my group in rehab.

For me it was "When a Man Loves a Woman". I related to both roles, the Mum and the little girl.

The bathroom scene awakened me, where the Mum collapses through the shower door in front of the little girl. That was how I found my Mum. She was an alcoholic, and had a heart attack. She died 1 week later in hospital. This film was pretty emotional.
But that was a good thing. I hadn't allowed myself to have emotions for so long, and being in rehab, it was pretty confronting. I am so grateful for rehab and AA.

Thank God for sobriety.
