Then-I would have spent the day drinking at home alone, took a nap (or passed out) for a few hours, ate very little and avoided the phone...if it rang at all cause everyone had given up on asking me to do stuff cause I would always say no!
Now-I drove up North to a little teeny town that felt like Mayberry. The drive was almost an hour and I had the windows down and listened to some Bob Segar, sang "Against the Wind" at the top of my lungs and was in awe of the beautiful fall colors. This little town had a sidewalk sale and I swear I expect these people to be dressed in old timey garb and carrolling at Christmas time like a Norman Rockwell painting! ha! No joke, felt like I had gone 20 years back in time and I loved it! I bought tons of treasures...worthless crap that I don't need for anything more than just cause it's pretty and I wanted it...hee hee... My friends teased me about going wild and buying things like angels & Christmas decorations & candles & just.....stuff! Today I smiled and laughed all day, I said hello to strangers & had conversations with them as opposed to growling & looking at the ground hoping not to make eye contact. I heard the song "We've Got Tonight" and remember my oh so sad & broken post in February regarding that song and thought about what a different person I am today. Anyone else remember that ridiculous post??? Gosh I was in the pits of hell at the time and remember exactly how I felt. What a difference!!! It's just amazing, I'm overflowing with gratitude, I even yelled out the car window "Thank you God for this beautiful day!! wooohooo" like an idiot! haha! I got teary a few times too... Anyone out there in the pits of hell where I was in February...all I can say is "YOU HAVE GOT TO TRY THIS!!" haha cause life is unimaginably better and I used to hate people who posted stuff like this too, so go ahead and hate, snarl & roll your eyes like I used to. You can get here too....if ya want it! My cup runneth over....and so does my dining room table with all my stuffies spread out waiting for a home...hee hee.. I only spent $20 too and got a gazillion treasures! :) Posted on 11/07/09, 07:11 pm |

Never fails, you manage to make me smile on a daily basis.(That is hard to do 'cause my humor is a bit dark). Keep growing, your Light is shining bright woman! I'm still working on that Christmas gift for my Mom, I have 5 pages done. What a gift it has been to me already. Thanks for the positive post, it really helped me feel encouraged tonight!

Sounds like a fun fun day, I do remember that hellish time for you. You are doing great!

YES! To the initial post YES! "You can get her too.....If ya want it". This is what life is about. I'm happy to hear about your day HC.
Now be careful when you plug in any electrical appliance that you purchase at one of these sales. Trust me on that one.
