And once again, I will reiterate that God can do what AA does and it's doing it for me and a few others on here that try not to talk about it because it seems to offend.

I know this thread will die a quick death, I've seen it happen before but I had to get my 2 cents worth in.

God has performed some miracles and I should be dead now twice and nothing but divine intervention is the possibility in my mind.

I don't care what Nemorino says. PFFFFFFFFTHHHHHH! But I love him, I just don't like his all or nothing stance. When he was a Monk, he was an all or nothing person then and he was a drunk, so now he gives up religion entirely and again is being an all or nothing person.

Whatever works for him or anyone is grand but so many people on here think their way is the ONLY way.

I was sober for 22 years while an agnostic and didn't go to AA, not sure how I did it but I did.

Everyone is an individual and AA may work for some, certainly no one really knows the ratio of how many it has worked for.

I rarely post on this forum anymore, I get more from Church and God.

*RUNS FOR MY LIFE FROM THIS THREAD*

" The people that started AA were religious, I've said this before and I have also stated how much AA is like going to or belonging to a church.

I started this thread so that those who need God in their lives are not turned off by the egotistical Nemo who thinks religion made him an an alcoholic, it didn't. He would have been one regardless.

True, he had a bad experience with the Roman Catholic Church (RCC) but the RCC has covered up so many things in the past and they're business and more into making money than saving souls, at least in the past.

They had people put to death for heresy that questioned the RCC and I don't blame Nemo for leaving that church but throwing the baby out with the bathwater is not the answer.

That was and still is my point. "

" You didn't post this to help anyone .. you posted because someone else's belief annoys you.

That's YOUR problem, isn't it.

And FYI -- before you take a swipe at any religious organization, what's your history?? Martin Luther inspired peasants to revolt, he saved his own ass at the Diet or Worms, but the peasants got slaughtered. Oliver Cromwell was as genocidal maniac -- nice proddy leader. How many Klan members we born again?

"Judge not lest ye be judged" -- doesn't your book say that? Not stopping you, is it?

Bill and Bob were religious? AA is church?

Well, imho you're just batshit crazy. If I were you, I'd quit that church of your and make it to a meeting. "
