" Hey Mel-reading is very therapeutic, I think so too. James Patterson is too scary for me though! LOL! :) If you like scary books, try Robin Cook "Marker".

For an easy, mindless read that I can start & finish in a day or two, I read Iris Johansen. Right now I'm reading "The Appeal" by John Grisham.

Sidney Sheldon, Tom Clancy (although he's over my head at times) and Michael Connelly I love too.

Pat Conroy is my all-time favorite-I highly recommend "Beach Music" it's set in Italy however he is a Southern U.S. writer. "

" The most recent for me: "The Shack" by Wm. Paul Young

Reading is extremely therapeutic for me. It almost feels the same as meditating. "

" I love reading!!!!!!!! I read at least 2 books a week! I've just finished agent zigzag and have now started a Roald Dahl book with loads of short stories, I also can highly reccomend Child44 and my all time favorite 1984 by George Orwell! Oh and John Connolly is brilliant as well! Oh and Irvine Welsh, trainspotting is a masterpiece! "

" I am reading the Sookie Stackhouse series about a southern belle barmaid embroiled in a world of vampire intrigue. It's pretty funny and sexy. The HBO series "True Blood" is based on the books. I recommend both, if you like the darker side. lol "

" Have you read any Minette Walters books Mel? Titles include "The Ice House", "The Dark Room", The Scolds Bride", they are dark, psychological British crime thrillers.

I love reading too and have a wide scope of interest. "

" The classics are worth a turn, too, Mel. You're young enough that you might not have picked up Sir Arthur Conan Doyle yet. Give it a try if you love mysteries. "

" I so badly want to read the last book of the Twilight series. But the library has a waiting list of 150 people for 2 copies and I haven't had the spare $20 to get it.

I read the Dali Llama's book on the Millennium and am still truing to get through "A new Earth". Lately, it's been AA stuff though...how sad.

Thanks for this post Mel...makes me want to go to the library Tuesday and get some LIGHT reading. "
