2 Weeks sober today :) I feel great! Hope everyone else is doing well also. We had a family cook out yesterday and no one drank. It was fun. My son asked me when I was gonna start drinking. I looked at him and said "what do you mean? I'm not drinking at all". He said "mom, I'm so glad. You are so loud when you drink. I'm really proud of you." Gotta love hearing that! My husband and I haven't fought at all. Most of our fights were alcohol induced. Wow! Finally peace in my life.

" Good for you tiff76. Any goal toward living sober is a milestone for alcoholics. Its great that your family supports you.Your life is about to change for the better. Its really important that you have a defence against the first drink.Your battle with alcoholism has just begun. I suggest that you join your local Alcoholics Anonymous meeting and learn what it truly means to be sober. This disease is cunning baffeling and powerful. The urge to drink will come back and unless you're prepered you will end up on that same merry go round.Seek some help from other alcoholics. AA is the best place to do that. Goodluck to you . my recovery prayers are with you and your family.
