The Storm

After a week of terrible withdrawal, I went to bed last night to thunderstorms booming outside my window. I awoke this morning to a cooler fresher morning and standing on the deck having my coffee I aware of God's grace. That we all must weather some storms to appreciate fresher more beautiful days. I feel as though, just for today, I can live to see the world without the fog of alcohol. I know there will be more storms to come but there will be rainbows also.

" i enjoyed reading this. I believe that a drunk who has sobered up, has an enhanced ability to really enjoy life and appreciate it. Even the simple things. I thought I had lost so much, but I simply had to learn how to become aware of my surroundings again. "
