Loving Middle School

My 11 yr old son started middle school in the fall. At that time we were concerned bc his other friendships had drifted and his friends in the neighborhood seem to never be around b/c they are all into sports. He was driving us nuts at home bc we were his source of entertainment, and I felt it was unhealthy for him to not have friendships. But he did find a group of nice boys and they have become a group of good friends. They all play sports so now he has joined a team which is so unusual for him. Now he is busy all the time and it is so fun. This is such a great school and they do so many fun things.
I am so glad my son is developing a social life outside of us. He seems much happier. Praying it stays in tact. Very relieved as a mom. Posted on 11/04/09, 08:11 am |
