" I was 8 when I got my friend.....I was a very large kid though....not chubby just very tall and very developed....no one caught up to me until my freshman year of high school.....I did find out later though that I had an overactive thyroid and that played a big part in why I was so far ahead....my oldest son is also a monster....hes in 1st grade but looks like a 3rd grader....and he too has a slight thyroid problem....fixable....not a big problem....but can become one if left untreated.....only if it needs to be....sometimes its nothing really....

As far as being a really young kiddo with a friend.....It was hard....but noone really knew unless I told them....I did milk it alot though to get out of stuff.....just invest in cloths that make her more comfortable and push good hygiene and remind her that every girl who has ever lived hits puberty....and its really no big deal.......and even if she gets teased....she just needs to remeber they will get theres soon enough...and boys have a much more embarrassing problem when they hit....however that conversation will have to wait.......
Good luck....I dread this talk with my daughter.... "
