to poop in the toilet? My stepson stays with us on the weekends and he does great with going pee in the toilet but when it comes to poo he will wait until naptime when we put a pull up on him or he'll just go in his underwear...

" Seriously you should check out what people said to me. Im not entirely sure its even safe to ask for advice on this topic, I did and I got pretty butchered for expressing my frustrations honestly, so be careful what you say. "

" PS My friend said he and his wife had their daughter just hang out round the house without wearing pants or underwear because it removes the security of having something on to catch the poop. Mind you, its a risk for the furniture... "

" I posted a reply in MikT's post about this very thing... I had not read the prior posts so its completely drama free.... I have 2 kids one 16 and one 5 nest month. I let both my kids pretty much lead the potty training process and they both did great. Check out my reply in that post for some ideas on how to encourage him to poop in the toliet.

good luck ;p "

" I haven't read mikt's responses but I found a pretty easy solution to this problem when my daughter was 3. M&Ms!! We kept a jar of M&Ms in the bathroom. She was really good at peeing in the potty so that just got a hug and a "i'm so proud of you". But the poop, well, when she found out she was getting to pick any color M&M she wanted (only one) she was really trying hard for that candy!! Make sure the jar has a locking lid, and keep that colorful jar of candy out where he can see it! Good luck!! Poop can be really hard sometimes...:) "
