I really dont know what to do i am working on getting help but its gonna take awhile. My son is 5 and high functioning autistic. He has a issue about the bathroom he is terrified of having a accident and worry's hes not clean after he goes. he goes to the bathroom over and over again even if nothing comes out and he wipes till the toilet paper is gone sometimes. he has clogged my toilet. I was already struggling with this behavior it is making everything difficult i have to bring him home when we are out cause he will cry if he doesn't have assess to a bathroom. he stays up late cause he gets up to go every 10 mins or so. and so on. then two nights ago he had an accident he pooped in bed and wet the bed it was a total random accident not something that normally happens but it has completely thrown his behaviors into over drive he stays on the potty for an hour at a time and i completely don't know what to do! if anyone can offer advice i would really love to hear it. thanks :)

" Hi.
I am a sped teacher, and a developmental evaluator, but wish I had more to offer you.

What do his therapists/pediatricians recommend?
Can he wear any kind of overnight diaper? Is it a sensory issue for him?
Would wipes make him feel cleaner?
Is his room as close as possible to a bathroom?
How does he function with this during the day?
Social stories may help. If you provide more info, might be able to give you more.
It's great that you are on here seeking advice for him. Give him a hug if he'll take one.
:) Kerry "
