My 14 year old is starting to experiment with drugs and drinking. If you have had to deal with this please let me know what you did and if it worked. Thanks

Hopefully you have a good relationship with your child, which is necessary to open up discussions about why he/she turned to this outlet. Is it curiousity? Keeping up with other kids? Pressure? Stress/anxiety? Ask questions and show concern and explain why this is not ok. Good luck.

I am going through the same thing myself with my 15 yr old daughter...along with the disrespectful mouth, calling me names, and just being very spiteful, angry, and rebellious. She is the last one left in my nest and when times are good, they are REALLY good and when times are bad, they are REALLY bad...I've been a single parent for her entire life so it's been a rough go.
Just remember to take time for yourself to reflect, collect yourself, and re-group... They will eventually see the light like we did ;)
