Just a question to put out there....how long do you let your son/daughter sit on the potty for?
My two year old won't stay on it for a minute! lol We're taking a break but when we do come back to it I want to be prepared. Thanks Posted on 11/08/09, 01:11 pm |

My Nathan didn't like sitting on it at first either. After having special books and sing song rhymes and finger plays just for potty time he now can sit on it longer. I never made him sit on it for longer than he wanted to, I want to keep it a positive experience. I'm not sure how long he stays on there now, I havent timed it.. When he does pee, I show it too him, clap and we go flush it together and wave bye..yep it's pretty silly :)
We've taken a break too since he's been sick, and hope to pick it back up this week. The first few days I didn't make him sit on it too often, so it wouldn't be overwhelming. We increased how often as he got better at sitting on it.. Hope some of these ideas help!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one with this problem.
