I stay home with my daughter, who is a very physically active 19 month old (started walking at 9 months, so she's practically sprinting by now, and likes to climb and get into everything)! She's what people call "busy" all the time, and I'm just looking for fun, age-appropriate activities to do with her all day, since I'm starting to feel like I don't provide her with enough variety in her activities. She's in preschool 2 days a week, so that's been a lifesaver, but what are some things you all do with your kids during the day? She likes to read and draw, but has a fairly short attention span for it right now. She LOVES to play at the park. Any suggestions for activities in and out of the home would be greatly appreciated! :)

My little guy is the same he is so busy, I like to make him think he is helping mommy, I give him a spoon and pot when I am cooking and he pretends to help cook. Or I will give him some towels while folding laundry and he tries to fold towls lol! I give him a rage and he pretends to dust. When I am doing somthing that he realy cant copy me I like to let him watch cartoons that involve him to take part in like three squars. When it is mommy and Gavin time I take him for short walks, or we play with blocks or play douh.

I take my daughter and son to the libraries they offer story time the younger classes are fun they sing and dance and read stories and the older class 2.5 - 4 they read, songs and do crafts.
we also go to a local church that offers music classes and my daughter (2.5) and son (6months) love that one, they also have a art class and just change to a puppet drama class. They do have little gyms classes but those are expensive, at least the church and library are free. also the city offers classes for children too, it cost but not bad, the YMCA offers tumblers classes that cost but its like 30. for a month and is 2 times a week which isn't to bad in price. the park with friends she enjoys. when we are home just play outside, chalk, balls, kicking soccer, play doh, paints, bubbles, and holding a bucket and looking for rocks, leaves whatever she is into that day, there are someplaces near where we live that have hands on play centers and movies for children and puppet theatre. first start by call your local libraries and asking if they have story time we go to 2 different ones a week. and you can ask churches if they have mommy and me classes, usually you can look your city up on-line and they can show what they have for children. also at home when brother is sleeping we have school time for about 20mins if that, and she learns her ABC and such, it works great. best of luck. Also I would keep the play at home different from day to day.
