Old Books

My mother in law gave me about 200 Golden Books that she had when she was little- so they're at least 50 years old. My problem is- they smell mildewy and they've been under her house for decades. I'd love to use them, but I am not sure about how safe they would be for my daughter.

Is there a way to clean them or should I toss them?

" hello, I just checked the internet and it suggests placing the books in a bag with baking soda for a couple of weeks. It also suggests placing them in the microwave for a few secs each. I enterred removing mildew from books in search engine so have a look and see what you think
