Ok so I'm staying with my birthmom for the second time in a few weeks. The last time I stayed with her I came home and I all I wanted was to be with her. She stopped talking to me and didn't talk to me for a year. I was a mess. Became depressed and harmed, still working on straightening myself out. Our relationship is mending but I'm worried about when I Coe back. Any help or advice would be wonderful

" I found it was best not to have any expectations.
Do you have to stay with her?Could you stay near her?
She may not understand your needs or indeed be able to meet any of them at this stage.
Be patient and give her time. All i wanted was just to be with mine too.She stopped talking to me three times or was it 4?She even drove 3.5 hours and dropped all the stuff back i ever gave her.I can understand now that she was having a tough time with me coming into her life but it has been a painful journey. It has for me been worth persevering and we are now having a good relationship.
So no expectations, give her time, try not to let your huge need get in the way of a good relationship.
I understand how you feel perfectly "
