Frequent infections

Does anyone else experience frequent infections? I seem to be getting these little "bugs" more frequently as of late. I will run a small fever ( only around 99 but i know for me that is a fever) and will have symptoms of chills and sweats and just that icky ill feeling. I have been on antibiotics twice in the last maybe 6 weeks and that is a lot for me! I rarely take antibiotics.

I am on high doses of the HC ( bumped back to 20/20/20 until today) and maybe that is why i am having a harder time this year. My reg dose is around 20/10/7.5 which we are trying to taper down every week as it is way too much.

I am also exposed to alot of illness at work. I hope I do not have to start wearing one of those masks we have just to stay healthier!

" YES!!! I am so sick of this. I get frequent infections and when I get them, it takes FOREVER to get them to go away. I've had all sorts of infections; but, right now I am battling with constant urinary tract infections. I guess I'm going to have to live on antibiotics forever. If anyone has any ideas on how to boost the immune system; so that this doesn't happen, I'd love to hear it! "

" I try to take beta carotene (25,000 iu's a day) for immune system. And Echinachea and Golden seal but realized my bottle is expired so need to get more.
there are a lot of vitamins that boost the immune system ( C is another one I should be on) and maybe a health food store or a GNC would know. I should visit one of them soon, because I do not take anti-biotics often. I have to really need them to even ask my dr for them, since they seem to make me get a different infection than the one they are treating!
Oh and green tea is supposedto be good so i am trying to drink more of that ( it is kind of weak for me so I brew it with other tea..and they make tea with Echinachea in it) "

" Hey all,
I have always been sick frequently. It sucks. My doctor put my on a supplement called Myco Forte which is a complex of mushrooms that seems to really help. Might be something to try. I also take Vit C every day, 2000 mg. And if I feel something coming on or know I'm going to be around sick folk, I take one called Jade Windscreen - supposed to help keep things at bay. This has seemed to help me.

" I heard taking Echinachea all the time can actually reduce you immune system. I've been told only to use it when I feel an infection comming on to boost the immune response.

I've also heard zinc is good for boosting immune response, but I've never tried it. "
