I'm amazed how much difference is made by differing amounts of hydrocortisone.
I was initially perscribed 15 mg of HC and was on it for the last 2 months. I did not improve. Blood pressure was way low all the time and I was weak and still losing weight. After a hospital visit caused by passing out in the drs office my dosage was increased to 25 HC. Now my weight is returning and my blood pressure is normal. Amazed that just 10 mg can make such a big difference. Posted on 01/21/09, 11:01 pm |

Stolar,
I'm glad they are getting your dose optimized for you. i"m having a terrible time with that. I don't seem to respond to it much. I only seem to feel better if I take like 100 mg of HC a day. The doc switched me back to Prednisone which seems to work slightly better for me, but if I take over 25 mg a day of that I get really irritable and nasty. So, now I take both Pred and HC. But now I'm putting on too much weight. I can't win, nor can I get this horrid fatigue to relent. I wish a 10 mg change in HC would do as well for me.
