Help, what do i ask the Doctor?

My beautiful boyfriend has been diagnosed with AML aged 29, he has defective bone marrow in his skull, he has had lumps in his head for months the doctor thought it was an infection, until he had a scan 2 weeks ago, last week he began chemotherapy without teling me. on Thursday I am going to the hospital and looking for advice what to ask as my i think my boyfriend is stillin shock and hasnt got any answers.

Wish I could give you answers or good questions to ask.. I feel kind of reluctant to really get into it.. because he started chemo without telling you.. From my point of view, it seems like he needs reassurance from you that you are going to be by his side through this or something.. being told you have leukemia and starting chemo can be a pretty big shock to the system.. Some questions could be "What was his blast count?" "What subtype is he?" "What treatment do you recommend?" "Are there any current studies that could benefit him?"

Thank you for your response thats really helpful. I think he didnt tell me cause he was in shock he got diagnosed on the Tuesday and went to hospital and was given chemo on the Thursday, I dont think he asked the doctor any questions he doesnt seem to know anything and im still not sure it has really hit him yet, thats why i want to make sure i ask all the right questions

How is he doing?? Were you able to find out what subtype he has? How is he responding to chemo? Just checking in to see how you are!

it was plobaly shock i am 17 and i was doinose with the same canver 2 times and jsut had two babys one died and mky mom died of cancer to its been so hared but i no if i got trough it a adult can. wat stage does he have. and also i am sorry that you have to deal with this if need help tell me
