Looking for hope

My sister was diagnosed with AML on June16th. She was moved to the uNiversity of MD Cancer Center and 2 days later wound up in the ICU fro respiratory problems. She was intubated for a week or so. The actaully began chemo 7+3+3 while she was intubated.

Now she is back on the cancer unit - she had a biopsy on day 14 and we are around day 17 - we should have the results tomorrow. So she is so so so so so so sick. She has diarrhea, hasn't eaten in weeks. Her bowels are a mess, sores in the mouth, fluid in the lungs. I am so afraid she won't get in remission or even just feel better.

Can anyone offer me hope. I'm exhausted , sad, can barely get to work since there is always so much going on at the hospital - I am tempted to stay all the time, but I have a family too. My sister is 52 - was in perfect health.

Her AML isn't good. The genetic markers came back as "poor." But still I thought she would get in remission. Maybe she will.

Peace,
Jackie

" Dear Jacki,
Though we don't see it always, hope is always there through Jesus Christ. His death was out of pure love and so that we would have hope always in every situation. I too have been struggling with hope in my own family health issues. Hope is always there, it may not be as we see, determine it, or in our time. Never give up on Jesus Christ and pray for His will to be done and that all circumstances that appear bad will be for the good and give Him glory. Janet "

" Dear Jackie,
I am not sure of your sisters condition now, but I just wanted to encourage you to keep positive and keep your hopes up. I found that prayer really helped, so if you have a friend that is a minister or a prayer warrior, ask your sister if they can stop by and offer a prayer. I have learned that every day is a blessing and there is always something to be thankful for. God bless you for being there for your sister.
Ann "
