My husband is inpatient now since last Friday getting 3 different chemos to try to get 2nd remission. He gets platelets & blood today to fill him up for the weekend & then comes home.Friday we get his 4th bone punch(he hates them). Can anyone give timelines & probable procedures for BMT.I'd rather hear from those who have experienced than doctors.I am a nurse so technical lingo is OK. Thank you so much!

Bone Marrow Transplant... ah ha. Yeah. Well.. I began relapsing in late March of '08. My actual BMT was on July 16th. That was after being pushed back from June 26th because I got sick. From the time they found my donor to my BMT it took about 2 months. I had a whole work-up before receiving my BMT- dental, gynecological, etc. etc. etc. I wish I could remember right now, but my brain just doesn't function at the moment. Those two months also included the chemotherapy I received prior to being able to receive my BMT. Afterwards I was only inb the hospital for 3 weeks (things went SO smoothly for me at that point). If you want to you can go look through my journals from that time period in '08.. heck that sounds like a good idea for me to do so I can remember what I went through *sigh*
