Renald my brother in law was diagnosed on Thursday and for the last two nights he's had a high temperature that they haven't been able to bring down. He was starting his chemo Wednesday, but they've brought it forward to Tuesday (Tomorrow).
Is this part of it or should we worry? I need to hear the truth. Thanks Narelle Posted on 01/28/08, 05:01 am |

well during my second treatment (I had AML as well) I had temps as high as 105. I was placed in ICU twice and died once and almost died a second time. I know this is not what you want to here but that is the very bad part but they controlled mine and I was out of the hospital 2 weeks later with my blood levels on the way up. I made it through sheer will and support from my now ex wife and the awesome nurses at the hospital I was at. I suggest contacting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. They will be able to help you alot with information and things you can do. They have a program called First Contact where they pair you with a Peer Volunteer. They can contact you and help you with any questions you may have because they are like me and have been through it.
Dont hesistate to ask me as well because I am in training to be a Peer Volunteer Jim
