Yesterday was not bad. It never is fun going to the doctor and its a pain to have to find a new one right in the middle of all that I have going on. He seemed OK, though. I told him why I was there and that my biggest concern right now was to stay well enough that they would not put off doing surgery once I went to Mayo. Where did I go wrong?
I married young - so in love. Nothing could touch me. It was a dream come true. The fairytale stuff dreams are made off.
Kids came along 6yrs later. It was a new beginning. It wasn't easy. Financially we struggled... but we had each other - we managed. We had another a few years later so it couldn't have been that bad.

Thank you for the tips Mary. My GP offered me meds for it when I saw him Friday and I said no, repeatedly. I tried ambien before and a few other things. I am so excited about cutting back on the blood pressure meds, being rid of the diabetes meds and I'm tired of all the rest of the meds. I wanted to share the background of my problems, so far, and see if there's any link with anyone else on the forum.
Here goes:
1992 - started having problems with my hands, being numb and clawlike in the mornings. It was so bad I couldn't even hold a hairbrush, unless I massaged my hands for 15 minutes. Had first operation for Trigger Finger - carpal tunnel.

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this group.
Just found out I'm having acromegaly.
I'm 48 years old, living in Malaysia.
My dermatologist suggested doing some blood tets because he was starting me on Roaccutane.
I went to my GP who did an "aging profile" blood test which happened to include IGF-1. The result came back as 752ng/ml. This was exactly a week ago.

So fed up....... struggling with work- a mix of nights and 12 day shifts. Think this is adding to the havoc in my body. Just seem to be a blur of sweating and horrible pain. Getting more and more muscle/soft tissue pain in left leg even at rest that is most unpleasant and hard to quantify/describe.
