Just wondering if anyone else has Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Syndrome. I was diagnosed with this recently and now my children will be tested. My new endo took one look at my test results from two years ago and knew immediately that I had MENS1 and not just Acromegaly. Tests confirmed what she said. Now I am more depressed than ever...and scared.

Oh Sherry, what a worrying time for you and your family, we seem to accept what's dealt to us, but it's so different when our children are involved. It's bad enough that you have to deal with the illness, but to worry about paying your medical bills as well, it makes things even worse. There must be some way you can get some help from somewhere, is there any way to can get some funding. At least this will go someway in helping to relieve the stress that you must be under.
I wish you every luck in the world with the tests and hope they're wrong. Your system must be under so much stress coping with hyper thyroid and parathyroid. God bless Sherry x

Thank you so much for all your prayers and well wishes. Tomorrow I will pick up the lab papers to take my children to be tested. My daughter knows but I still can not bring myself to tell my little guy. Wish me luck. My stomach is in knots. I should have the results of all my new tests on November 3rd.... I am praying for good results even though it kinda looks bad right now.

Good luck Sherry. I have read about this because my GI specialist tested me for this as well because of on going GI problems. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks again... I got my results back from my sleep study and I scored a 40 which means I have severe sleep apnea. Dr. says I stop breathing 40 times per HOUR! That is almost every minute! No wonder I can never function during the day and am always tired. I am oxygen deprived. Evidently my oxygen levels drop to 62 when I am sleeping. Between 95 and 100 is normal. I am go back for another study Monday when I will be fitted with a cpap machine to force air into my lungs as I sleep. That night will decide if I need oxygen as well. This coming Monday I will get results of all the other tests they have been running for the past three weeks. Wish me luck. My children will get their test results next week as well.
