" I sincerely hope that things go well for you swampy, your radiotherapy is recent, and my perspective is from 7 years on. But you need to consider, that if you can visually see tissue damage where the rays entered your head, what are the softer tissues of your brain looking like, and the point where all the beams of radiation meet (at the pituitary gland) The pituitary is a fine instrument making slight adjustments to our hormone levels 24/7 and it has now been fried, literally fried.

Thankyou for your message kissxxes I believe you have made the right descision, it is such a slow growing tumor that it can be monitored easily. I feel there is a place for radiotherapy, but there is plenty of time to consider it, and only if there is evidence that the tumor is active again after surgery. We should not be rushed into the descision. "

" Hello Vernon! I am so sorry to hear about your experience with Radiotherapy.. but do appreciate your post. I thought about this hard, talked to my doctors several times and I talked to my husband about it too. I decided to go ahead with it. I had my first treatment yesterday. I could regret it later on but the way I see it, there's also a chance of me getting cured (even just temporarily). I know it's a risk, but I have strong faith in God, that he will take care of me no matter what.

Good luck to you. "

" Hi MBritt

Glad your surgery is over with - hurray! That's a really bid hurdle. I will have to wait a while for my surgery as the specialist surgeon is off due to personal circumstances and its unclear when he will return. I think if I find myself with the prospect of having to have Radiation treatment then | will go with it as I have real confidence in my Endocrinologist who has been great and if it helps me to fight this disease then all the better. Please keep me posted as to how you get on. I'll be thinking of you too. Warmest wishes, Rosie "
