I have have both high Igf-1 and low TSH. In June of 08 MRI showed 5mm cystin pituitary gland. Had MRI again at the same place in January and no comment about cyst.
Can tumors come and go? Can MRI's be different? In June the MRI was to rule out MS. In January the MRI was to find out why my face keeps face numb and why my eyes hurt so much on and off. I am now waiting for the results of a glucose tolerance test to measure my GH. The doc says if thats elevated I need another MRI and if normal then she has no answers. Posted on 04/12/09, 08:04 am |

I would suggest looking into the difference between cysts and tumors. Also, I know a lot of folks on this site have had multiple MRIs give different results. Did your IGF-1 go down between June and Jan.? Did they re-test?
