ok so i took these pills and it cleared my face up, took its sweet ol time, but my face was clear for about six months, and now it seems like my acne is coming back slowly, im scared it will be like how it was before and i wanna know how fast this stuff will work, and if i need to take it two times a day or should i just take it once since i was already on it in the past.

Aubrey, doxy helped me for a while, but I eventually had to upgrade to minocycline. From what my dermy told me, doxycycline doesn't carry many risks. Yes, it's an antibiotic, but as an anti-inflammatory, it's a mild antibiotic. I would say go to twice a day if you haven't already and see what that does for you. If you're still not sure about doing that, ask your doctor, and if it stops working, there are plenty other drugs to try. Everybody's different, and you sometimes have to play the field until you find the right treatment for you. Good luck!
